Personal: The Barraclough Family

  • Please pray for direction in opening up a new work in South America.  We have felt led to pioneer a new work in the Amazon River Basin in South America.  Our first survey trip is planned for January 2008, and the Lord has provided some contacts that may allow us to obtain missionary visas in this country.
  • Please pray for our financial support.  We presently have about 60% coming in of what is needed on a monthly basis.  Please pray for God to raise up additional faithful monthly supporters.  Beginning in January 2008 we plan to appeal to several churches and individuals to join our "sending" team that provides prayer and financial support.  We also plan to itinerate this late Spring and Summer to raise funds.

PanamaNaso Indians

  • Please pray for Gilberto Aguilar, his wife Mari, and their three children, pastors of the church in Solong village, for their health, and God’s blessings upon them as he attempts to evangelize and build up the church in the surrounding settlements.
  • We have started construction of a second church in Siejík village.  Pastor Gilberto is making weekly trips there to conduct services while the church is being constructed.  To-date there are just a handful of believers.  Pray for many to come to the Lord in Siejík and for the believers to become established.
  • Please pray for the Naso youth.  In the last year, the youth have been the hardest group to reach with the Gospel.  Several 13 and 14 year-old youth were saved over the summer and some were baptized in water.  Pray that they will remain strong in the Lord and will be an example to those around them.  Pray that God will fill them with the Baptism in the Holy Ghost.
  • Please pray that God will provide helpers for the work, and will raise up leadership from among the Naso Indians themselves.
  • Please pray for Ann Buening & Jennifer Norman, who are presently in Naso Territory for a three month stay, helping with youth and children outreach.  God is helping them mightily.
  • Please pray for Jason & Vickie Pennington, who graduated from language school in May 2006 and have since been raising support to move to the Naso Territory in February of 2008.  The Penningtons worked with the M-28 Taskforce team over the summer of 2006 among the Naso Indians.

Venezuela:  Santa Ana Mission

  • Please pray for the mission work in Barrio Santa Ana.  Following our abrupt departure in 2005 other than infrequent visits, the mission continued under national leadership (a board of elders).  Please pray for spiritual renewal upon the church as Rev. Euclides Piñeda, a Venezuelan national, assumes the pastorate of the church.
  • Please pray for Pastor Euclides Piñeda & his wife Francelina as they assume full-time ministry in Venezuela that God will give them strength and wisdom.  This couple was a tremendous blessing over the years in the Santa Ana missions, and we are thankful that the Lord has called them to become the pastors of this work.

Oaxaca, Mexico:  Manantial Mission

  • Please pray for this brand new work far into the interior of southern Mexico, near the Guatemalan border.  I made my first trip down to this region in April 2007 to preach a revival in this remote area up in the mountains.  I encountered an endearing group of believers that had sacrificed to construct a church.  Only a few could read or write, yet they were hungry for God's word.  Following a full week of ministry of morning & evening services, we concluded with a baptismal service for the converts.  Since that time I have visited them and am working with a Mexican pastor from Tehuantepec who is overseeing this work and doing a tremendous job.  Please pray that God will strengthen them, and pour out His Spirit upon them.
